VALSTATS Research & Reports
VALSTATS Reports publishes statistical research on VALORANT built from first-party client telemetry. The data comes from valorant-watcher, an open-source volunteer network that records information the official Riot API does not expose. The tracked corpus spans over 5 million verified matches collected worldwide since February 2026, with Europe the largest single region ahead of North America, Asia-Pacific and Korea. Each report draws a defined sample from it and states its own sample size, time range and collection method, and the collection tooling is public and auditable.

About the VALSTATS Data
Where does the data come from?
Two sources. Death positions come from the victimLocation field of official VALORANT match detail records. Skin data comes from valorant-watcher, an open-source background process that volunteers run on their own machines, which reads inventory information the official Riot API does not expose. Volunteers run it worldwide, so the corpus covers every major region rather than a single one. Both are first-party collections; none of it is scraped from other trackers.
How large is the dataset?
The full tracked corpus holds over 5 million verified matches and more than 300 million recorded deaths, gathered worldwide since February 2026. Reports use defined samples from it: the death reports cover 40.33 million death positions from 260,846 European ranked matches played between February and July 2026, Iron through Radiant, and the skin reports cover 60,024 verified player inventories.
Can I cite or reuse these statistics?
Yes. Creators, journalists and researchers are welcome to use these numbers in videos, articles and posts. Please attribute VALSTATS Reports and link to the specific report you took the figure from, so readers can check the sample size and time range behind it.
Are these numbers about skins owned or skins equipped?
Equipped. The skin reports measure which skin a player currently has selected on each weapon, not which skins sit unused in their collection. That is why the stock default skin ranks first on every weapon in the game.
