Valorant Player Titles: The Higher the Rank, the More Nonchalant

Which Player Titles Do VALORANT Players Equip, and Does It Change by Rank?

Across 99,880 tracked accounts, what sits in the title slot changes steadily with rank. Near the bottom most accounts still wear the free title they started with. Through the middle of the ladder joke titles take over. At the top the most common state is an empty slot.

  • In Iron the most equipped title is Recruit (14.8%), the one every account starts with. From Silver to Diamond it is a joke title: Pocket Sage, then W, then Certified Bot. In Immortal and Radiant it is no title at all, at 62.4%.
  • An empty slot rises in every one of the eight brackets, from 18.2% in Iron to 62.4% in the combined Immortal and Radiant bracket.
  • Joke titles are a middle-of-the-ladder habit rather than a low-rank one. They peak at 31.8% in Gold, against 14.2% in Iron and 13.8% in Immortal and Radiant.
  • Recruit is the most equipped single title at 7.82%, and it is a low-rank marker: 14.85% at the low ranks against 3.12% at the high ones.
  • Combat and flex titles run the other way, falling in every bracket from 41.2% in Iron to 7.1% in Immortal and Radiant.
  • Closed-beta titles are equipped on 1.2% of accounts and climb with rank the way the empty slot does, from 0.1% in Iron to 4.8% in Immortal and Radiant.

Titles are read from the player loadout on matches observed by the open-source valorant-watcher volunteer network, February to September 2026. Rank brackets group divisions in threes (Iron 1-3, Bronze 1-3, and so on), with Immortal and Radiant combined into a single top bracket.

A new account has almost nothing else to equip, so Recruit at the bottom of the ladder is worn by default rather than picked. Accounts further up chose from years of unlocks.
