Death Location Timeline Across Ranks and Maps

A heatmap shows where players die. It doesn't show when. This report adds the missing dimension: the same 40.33 million death positions from 260,846 EU competitive matches (Iron through Radiant, February to July 2026), now split by side and rendered as a video per map and rank division. It's a companion to the static heatmap report, trading the full-round aggregate for a look at how the fight actually moves.

Each video uses a sliding 6 second window of round time, advancing one second per frame and played back at 8x realtime, so the full 90 second round unfolds in a little over ten seconds. Deaths are attributed to attackers or defenders using the same positional data as the heatmaps, then blurred and normalized independently per video, so intensity is comparable across time and between sides within one video. Divisions are grouped the same way as the heatmaps: Iron 1-3, Bronze 1-3, ..., with Immortal and Radiant packed into one top bracket.
